What’s the best none Norton Norton ?

Or…

Beautiful bike. I’ve done quite a bit a reading about Dave Degens; a living legend in the motorcycle builders world no doubt. I always thought he was the first to pair the Triton, but not apparently. Still knocking around although doesn’t run Dresda Triton anymore.

Just one thing wrong, it's got the incorrect engine in it.
Not a 650 pb?

What about this one?

Not to worry
There's room in that frame to squeeze another engine in the front of that unit one!!!
At least you'd get rid of those nasty front engine plates

Starts with a vertical twin, 360 deg crank, lightweight & good handling.

BMW F series parallel-twin

The parallel-twin engine was first used in the F800S, and is also used in the F800GT, F800R and F800ST, although these bikes are tuned to deliver peak power at a different RPM from the GS models.

My (minor) difficulty with vintage commandos is generally proportions. Point in case the fastback! This fits the bill though👍!

You prefer an interstate IE an old man's bike to a roadster?
Only talking about proportions - call me shallow, but a bikes gotta look right; for the owner. Not saying the roadster is off, just it wouldn’t be my preference in this comparison. The diminishing ass end and understated tank are part of it. No right or wrong - personal preference.

I’m sure the fastback was/is an awesome bike but for me, the styling is a miss now as it was then.

And methinks you’re forgetting your age;)!

Yes, I know the roadster is not a fastback - comparison comment only.

Are we talking mental age or physical age?
Those two are a long way apart in my body 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Our physical age has absolutely nothing to do with it Baz - unless you can’t get into that cafe racer crouch anymore - than it has absolutely everything to do with it!!

Geez, at that point do I have to buy a Roadster:oops:!

Don't remind me
I sold this at the end of last summer mainly because of the clipons and I wouldn't compromise by fitting flat bars and standard footrests!
