What’s the best none Norton Norton ?

That reasoning can lead to big headache , mostly I just casually announce another bike moving in , she has same 2 questions , do you have shed room , can you afford it …. I do move the bikes on sometimes as both questions asked are difficult to answer with more than 3 in shed together …

One of the few things good about being a widower is that I live with no one and therefore no such questions. I would be better off with someone to control me - I can't possibly live long enough to do something with all the bikes I have (23 I think). I noticed the other day that the license plate on one of my favorites expired in 2015 - I have a current plate for it and it is insured - a woman would likely give me hell for that silliness.

If anyone needs more to fill a shed, I have four finished and for sale and only one has a potential buyer :)

Ya, she lives 80 miles away and can't really do anything about it - I can handle a little long-distance ridicule and her head shaking when she visits and looks at my mess. Still, I just take it quietly, and don't ask anything about her purchases. For instance, she it religious about expiration dates and she considers "best by" dates to be expiration dates - she throws away dry spices and buys new before they "expire" - a massive lecture will ensure if you try to tell her it's silly. Ask me how I know!
 
As we age it difficult to mind our own bidness , way it always has been 😉

Where's the fun in buying an actual TFC.
You should buy the standard Thrux, then spend your time converting it into an unauthorized, non-genuine, one off TFCsc.
Just like the faux JPNs that were made from spare and aftermarket components.
Oh yeah, add a TTS supercharger for the "sc."
Then you'd really have something!:p

Nigel I have really bad news for you about the Thruxton; those aren't real carburettors. Don't feel bad; most people are completely fooled by them.

Oh yes and talking of TTS Dr. Frankenstein you know you will have to come clean at some point about your latest unholy creation?;):eek:

I Know only too well that the carbs are poor caricatures Clive.

Sadly I’m in the camp that finds this kind of fakery really rather distasteful.

I do however recognise that some lesser mortals view such fakery fondly.

There is no accounting for taste, just look what some folks do to R3 TFCs for goodness sake…!

The excellent Triumph Rocket3 which has more power and torque than anyone could ever want? At least nobody is daft enough to stick a supercharger on one of those!!! I could however carve you a lovely mahogany and rosewood fake supercharger to complement the Thruxton's fake carbs?
