Interesting looking.Anyone?
Brough Superior Lawrence / Dagger Pillion Motorcycle
Brough Superior’s modern range is being expanded for 2023 with a new roadster named Dagger, which takes the brand into a new dynamic while retaining its traditional extreme (...)www.brough-superior-motorcycles.com
I bet, I couldn’t find the price anywhere.Interesting looking.
Leading link FIOR front suspension, like the Britten had.
But 60in wheelbase, probably because of the long, front to back V engine.
Bet the price is outta sight?
I vaguely know one guy who owns a modern Bruff and he loves it.Anyone?

Agreed on styling, a bit of a move further away from a modern take of the SS100 styling - I like it. Very purposeful despite the round edges. Over 100 hp (just) and 200 kg (dry I suspect). The ‘well heeled’ only may apply!I vaguely know one guy who owns a modern Bruff and he loves it.
I also have a bike journalist friend who had one on an extended test and he also loved it, so much so he tried to persuade me to buy one !!
I’ve never ridden one though so can’t comment first hand.
The one shown here is the nicest looking so far to my eye at least.
You mean... it's so fugly they won't show you what it looks like?Interesting …
FE’s opening post notes the FTR, Z900 and the Speed twin - a loose retro link is as close as it gets. The aim of the thread was to get chatter on other bikes off more specific 961 threads, which it’s done to a degree. Just as well, there ain’t many air cooled, push rod parallel twins out there to compare with.Yep - I have to agree... that's fugly too!
This thread seems to have lost its way.
The question wasn't what's the best motorcycle (most expensive, powerful, beautiful, ugly,,, blah, blah)
It is What Is The Best Non Norton Norton (okay, I'm assuming a FE typo with "none")
Plenty of pics available of that new MV now.Welp. I found my next new bike.
If it ends up looking anything like I think it will, sign me up.
Probably the reason for the darknessPlenty of pics available of that new MV now.
The styling is not my cup of tea personally. And neither are in line 4 cylinder motors anymore.
Spot on BT and you should start it; you’ve got an interesting spread going on there. My guess is a load of bikers talking about what’s in their garage would quickly make it the most popular thread on the forum. Personally I find it fascinating what people are fettling with (other than the 961). From a guy building his own vintage cafe racer and fabricating parts on the go, to buying and selling a Pikes Peak Ducati before the first tank of fuel has run out! Fascinating stuff!! Plus the obvious spin-off DM’s “hey XX, did’nt know you had one of those - me too”To me a non Norton Norton is any other motorcycle with classic styling, twin cylinder, not a spaceship.
BUT, maybe we need the progenitor of this thread to tell us what exactly he had in mind when starting the thread.
As far as the radial styling of many modern motorcycles is concerned, well, radical styling/radial performance, this is what young customers desire. You don't see "many air cooled, push rod, parallel twins out there." We also don't see many 50+ year old folks with blue or florescent red hair, or nose rings, or other facile piercings/tattoos either.
I think a thread for Norton owners that included reference to other bikes that they own or like, such as modern sportbikes, adventure bikes, Harleys, etc should more appropriately be called: "My Other Motorcycle."
Well, personally, I thought it was kinda obvious.BUT, maybe we need the progenitor of this thread to tell us what exactly he had in mind when starting the thread.
That's what I thought.Well, personally, I thought it was kinda obvious.
The 961 is pretty unique. It has character, style, presence, riding experience, that is pretty unparalleled I believe.
Sadly, for many, it falls a bit short in areas like performance and reliability.
So, ‘what’s the best alternative’ meaning a bike with the closest character, style, presence, riding experience BUT with more power and reliability?
That woz the question that I woz ponderin’.
Question still stands IMHO…
Me too .That's what I thought.
