What’s the best none Norton Norton ?

PS. That said, if some legend did develop a Supercharger for the 961 I’d be at the front of the queue! Call me hypocrite, with a capital HP !!
The engine wouldn’t last 5 minutes mate !!

I don’t wanna sound rude, but they struggle mechanically as it is. Bolting on a blower would be a VERY short lived exercise indeed.

Your best option would be to fit a 1200 Triumph twin engine, blower kits are available off the shelf for those. Hmmm, actually, a modern super charged 1200cc Triton… that’s not a bad idea…

No brain, no. Stop it. Quick, think about something else…

Am I reading this right? Are you being sarcastic?
A Norton without a broken foot controls? Or are you meaning “forward” controls.
I think Richard rides a classic Commando. Footrests and foot controls generally don’t fall off of those, they are ridiculously sturdy.

The irony with Richards footrest story of course is that some 961 Commandos have indeed suffered broken linkages !

Did I mention once that my Ducati ST3 ABS blew up at 6000 miles. It was a great bike up until then!! 😝

Yes, the Guzzi looks really nice, i watched the Bike World review on youtube. For £15K I think it's realy good value. Will have to now choose between it and the 1290 super s

The KTM is what I have now..will you miss the power?

I like MG , sadly I sold Griso to get my GT1000 😎
Also MAK …. have you heard of any other ST3s self destructing , I sure haven’t , think maybe I mentioned previously maybe caused by maintenance /service issues …. the 992 engine maybe best of the road engines from Borgo P. thus far …. that not just my opinion

No service issues but the big end let go.
It was repaired under warranty no quibble..
Put me off Ducati’s but with counselling I’m ok now. Apart from that it was a superb bike in every way. Still fancy the new V100 though 🤔

Glad you were treated proper , I zero confidence in our only Duke seller , they multi-line store, that sells , rec.products as well as multi line car dealers … I stay far away , our Club needs them as sponsor , so some get service there and rest of then fix mistakes made…. Yes I am big Guzzi fan the V-1000 looks really good and I am attracted to V85 , my legs just too short , the Griso is still missed , in fact once in while I offer up the S2R 1000 to buddy that had my old one …. He still laughs !

I had a close look at, and sit on, a V85 recently, I was impressed.

I declined the offer of a test ride due to limited shed space !

Yes Nigel go for it , I have enlarged the bike shed , then had to build a larger garden shed to house the yard gear that had lost its place with bikes …. I know your yard is small but with larger shed less outdoor maintenance …

Who needs more shed / garage space? Bring them into the house.

I agree the twisties are great fun, but they're not everywhere. Gotta ride to find them.
But a fist full of HP, that can be an instant thrill anywhere.
Putting a supercharger on a new well engineered Triumph 1200, a nice thing for sure, but....
Let's see TSS try to build a supercharger for the 961.
Now that would make them a legend.😄

Yeah, they could call it: “The Shrapnel Maker”….
