Want to feel old?

My body is getting old but my mind is still in my youth as I am still doing things I did back in the 70s, I still ride as hard but I am a bit more wiser and smarter in how I do things, but now retired I get time to do what I want when ever I want, except now for this lock down and restrictions, things are bit slower.

The times I feel old are when I accidently tune in to modern 'pop' music stations and the presenters who can barely string a sentence together without dropping vowels and consonants like confetti...… Or: The whole 'cult of personality', do I give a flying **** what Kardashian et al said/wrote/screwed today? So sad that many do.
Biggie too is when I'm the only one in the room (staff canteen, dentist waiting room) who isn't glued to a mobile phone.

Some days is like GP said some others just plain broke down , that what it like growing older/wiser , you actually realize , that you prolly should not try and pick that particular heavy item up .... but try just because .....

My daughter Brenna who lives on CBI texted this morning wanting to know how we dealing with the mass shooting in our neighbourhood over wknd , my answer ... one foot in front or the other , just like getting old , try and never take a backward step .... remember that thing from 70’s , “keep on keeping’ on” .... young mans slogan in an old mans head .....

Sure there is! Senior discounts on coffee and movie theaters.

Slick

And how does that compensate for the hair and teeth falling out, creaking and stiff bones and failing eyesight/hearing, and not being able to cut your own toenails any more? - haven't got to that stage yet? - you've got all that to come! Enjoy life while you can. . . .

What toenails ? ..... Slick is right there are some pluses , we got to watch “Ford vs Ferrari” in theatre for $12 all in .... on a Sunday afternoon , we looked the part so much no one even checked our ticket , prolly too surprised we had found the correct theatre at the multi-plex .....
