I'm replacing the double row bearing in my rear brake drum. Has anyone had any experience with VXB brand bearings? Also, seems if I want to convert to a sealed bearing I'll have to machine the hub and stub axle.? The specs on a 4203 bearing list the same as a 42032rs sealed unit @ 16mm

You need to be careful on the dimensions of the 4203 2RS bearing. Most are 17 X 40 X 17.5 where 4203 is 17 X 40 X 16. There are some 4203 2RS that are 16 mm wide, but are not generally available from U.S. bearing houses. I don't know the manufacturer or quality of these, but Mike Partridge (Walridge) does supply them.

I've used VXB bearings for Norton and Triumph wheel bearings and can't tell the difference to big name bearings. I haven't tried them for other bearings.

No need to machine anymore. Madass sells ‘em.
