Not sure what everyone's take on being a member is but if you arnt one I ask why not? Help support the website, that helps you with your bikes and a great place to come and just browse. I have been using access for about 3 years and became a member awhile back and have seen VIP member but always thought it was going to be expensive. Saw the price and got my cc out and joined. I know it's not for everyone and I get that. But I would like to just say help out a great website and keep it going strong.
Sorry if I offered anyone. Was not my intentions

I totally agree....Some of the most offensive and rude posts here are by people who won't pay a small amount to be a member...BTW, become a paying member and support your valuable forum..

Its a small price for a great site and have made a few friends here, surport Jerry for the great work he does for everyone and Les is also a great member who does a lot on this great forum, without them both this site wouldn't be here, Thanks Jerry and Les.

Thanks for the support- It helps keep this going
I think I started this Norton Forum in about 1998

I think that people who market items for our bikes should be at least a paying member of this forum..If more people supported this forum, the burden of the cost could be spread a bit... If you can afford to keep your Norton running, you can afford a small amount to keep this forum going..

Of course all of you are VIP members and that is why you posted. I want to say a big thanks for your support. It helps pay for the server costs.. Now to get some of the other tight ass members to part with a few bucks each month to help cover some of my time. Just kidding, i dont care, but would be nice. Its less than a roadster tank of fuel, petrol, gas a month..

Cheers

We need some nonpaying members to step up and explain why they aren't...Must be some reason...

Pleased to have recently become a VIP member for the aforementioned reasons...grateful for this resource and for these special motorcycles. Many thanks to Jerry and Les.

To be a VIP member you do get quite a bit more power at the forum, but it is not readily apparent. It is subtle things like not having to wait between searches and access to the gallery, much more. Obviously I would like to sell more VIP memberships to help with all this. It is not really happening. I don't want to put banners like the other forums. I would rather offer extra things for VIP's. I am thinking about putting Google Banners that go away if you are a VIP.

If there are any functions that I can program into the forum that would make the VIP area more attractive and useful, feel free to let me know. Your feedback is appreciated.

Good luck getting cheap people to explain why they're so cheap...

Is there any way to link the photos on VIP member to a post in any topic instead of using Photobucket?

Select the image, right click, and select "Copy image location" from the menu.
'Paste' in the message reply box, highlight it, then click the "Img" button above the reply box.

Putting my bike together would have Been a lot harder without this site. Thank you, Jerry!

I am not sure where to post this. This seems as good a place as any. Lately I have been very busy helping members and the forum is taking more and more time from the member support level to the server maintenance and website upgrade level. I have decided to do a few things to see about getting paid for my time.

1) As a VIP member you can see the "Who is online" and "Memberlists (by clicking group link)" - its at the bottom of the home page. This used to be available to everyone, but now only VIP members can see it.
2) I have implemented banners at the site for all except VIP members. There is only one now at the footer, but I might ad some more banners later. If you are logged in as a VIP you will not see any banners.

That's all folks!

Cheers-- Jerry

Most bike websites do this. You can either contribute up front or put up with the ads that pay the freight. No such thing as a free lunch.
