Value of a 1975 Hi Rider

His asking price MIGHT not bee too high, but it's near the top.

The bike appears to be very original, although I can't recall whether that Yellow scheme was a listed option in 75.

Other than that, it looks like it's all there. Swap out the seat, handlebars, and a couple of cables and you have a Mark III Roadster with a High Rider tank.

It actually works well with a Corbin seat; use your imagination...

Nice bike Grandpaul---

I thought for 1975 only the Roadster and Commando Interstate models were produced. I cannot imagine somebody creating a 75 Hi Rider from old parts.

That tank looks great - has something of the "Matchless" shape to my eyes. How much does it hold - less than the Roadster tank I assume?

I thought you said the only thing you liked about Corbinseats was their looks?
Well that setup sure looks good; that's a Hirider tank?. Is that bike a Hirider that you've modified?
I saw on this forum someone had a 70S and the Corbin seat fit it, but they also noted that Corbin gave them the same response they gave me when they asked if it would fit a 69. Corbin says their seat won't fit a 69. I think I'm going to chance it because if it gives me a higher riding position like the one I bought for my 01 Tiger; it would be better for my long legs. I sure would like to get the contrasting piping, but if I do there is no sending it back.

I've got a question maybe you can help. I saw somewhere on this forum the advance for a Boyer at 3,000rpm and 4,000. I thought it was 2 degrees less at 4 and 8 degrees less at 3 but now I can't find it. It's hard for me to time it at 5,000. I can only get the fast idle screw to run it to about 3. Is there a trick to doing this by yourself with no one to hold the throttle open? I know you use Sparx, but what would be your rec for timing settings with a Boyer? 31@5000?

I sold that Corbin seat along with a rolling basket case. It represented 1/5 of the value! hee hee

That was a Combat at one time or another. It's now slightly Dunstallized.

I get a helper to set strobe timing; either that or rev it up and get a reading, then adjust, then rev it up and re-check, etc.

Yes I saw that on Ebay at the time and thought about bidding since it was one of yours but finally decided I have enough on my plate.
Once I get this one running and licensed in Mexico I may look for another.
