Upper yoke 850 cc

Have any ever seen a bent thread at the upper yoke shaft ?
My thread is bend where the shaft from the upper yoke go through the lower yoke .

Is it possible to press the shaft out from the upper yoke (and refit after thread repair) ?

Its for my Commando 850 1974 Mk2A .

Yes, or replacement stems are available: http://www.rgmnorton.co.uk/buy/fork-yok ... e_2214.htm

The stem must be pressed in the 'upwards' direction to remove.

So I press the old stem upwards ?

There seem to be a cirklip at the top ?
