I can't be the only one who cannot decide between upright Roadster and Cafe Racer. And I can't really afford both, so what to do?

I found some clip ons that have two piece clamps, so they can be fitted without removing yokes. Today I tried doing a 'quick change over'...

Two bikes in one... Cool eh??

Thought all the Brits want flat bars or lower (shooting back on the stereotype of US riders and western bars).

Yeah, well, truth is, my bars are gradually rising with my age!

Still love clip ons. But only for short sharp blasts!

I am the same. Love my 2" rise "euro" bars, but most of the time would prefer clip-ons. I had a set laying around and put them on but unfortunately they were at a 20 degree slope, so off they came. I like the idea of a quick change, but part of me wants to keep it as period as possible, which I imagine excludes the modern 2-piece, billet types. I may yet change my mind. Which did you go with?

Woodcraft. They're a simple design so don't look too modern unless you're looking really close.

Anyway, small price to pay for a second bike !!

Agreed. I was eyeing the Woodcraft for just this reason.

I have a set of the western or U.S. style bars on my MKIII and they seem way to wide for my taste. So they will be coming off for sure. I was kinda thinking about the european spec handle bars but also looking at the norman hyde "m" handle bars. However I still have the "flat" drag style handle bars that worked well on my old cb750 and might try those, from what I remember they were just about right for me back then, only difference is that my stomach is bigger than it was back then. Gotta figure it out before I get the new replacement braided front brake line and install the m/c sleve kit though.

Hi CJ

You can always cut the bars down to a size that suite you, I had the westen bars on my 81 Triumph, they were cut down and was very comfortable when riding, I still have them bars, but I like my euro bars on my Norton.

My bars were bent up when I got my bike. I had an old set of Superbike bars from the 80s that were on my 900 Kawasaki. I knew I saved them for something.
They are about a 1 inch or so rise and I really like the way they look. Some days they do get to my back though.

Are they the clip-ons at the link below, and if so which rise height did you get?

That's nearly the right ones, but I went for 'normal' ie with no rise. These ones:
