Twinmax replacement?

He says the one for 3 or 4 cylinder bikes is due out in January 2012 if he doesn't get too bogged down with normal life!

I just had to spring for one of these boxes. I'm a fool for this kind of stuff and the price is right. For those who don't want to wade thru pages of thread, this is an electronic vacuum analyzer that can be used to check carb balance in our twins among other things. It can figure out RPM by counting vacuum pulses. It is kind of a suck counting and strength of suckage measuring device. It can be used to adjust idle mixture too. Basically an electronic manometer but it does a lot more because of processing capabilities. Handy tool to have around.

When I was trying to describe it to my wife she asked if it was like a Suckometer and I said yes. She is getting it for me for Christmas and I already ordered it! Do I get to play with it when it comes or have to wait until Christmas morning?

Thanks Philippe. The AdvRider forum is pretty cool too. Huge - I don't have that kind of time!

Thinking of getting one too. Where does it hook up to? the carb manifolds ?

Yes you remove the balance tube and connect the stubs to the hoses attached to the Harmonizer.

Last I saw he was out of production and trying to decide what to do - continue with it or sell off.

How do you purchase one of these, is there a site? or an email contact?

Thanks

Kevin

Go to the first post by prmurat and read the thread (46 pages) on advrider. Would suggest reading mostly the beginning and the end. The last few pages describe current status - not available. Too bad - They work very well.
