No, not as far as I can tell from what you've said so far but as previously mentioned, check the (red) wire between the headlamp shell connection and harness red is in place.
There has been mention of fitting additional ground wires from the bulb holders which can be done but perhaps stick to basics for the time being.

Perhaps a separate fuse for that circuit?
 
I think I have it sorted re the signals.
Where is the rear brake switch located, if at all on a 72?
Hopefully have it up and running today!
