Be aware that Avon AM26 100/90-19 is NOT recommended by Avon for the stock WM2 rims...
Good catch on my oversight! I failed to mention that a 90/90-19 resides on the front end. WM-3 X 18 on the rear, so it's shod with the 100/90-18.

Nathan, if at some point you want a bigger rear tire with deep tread and big payload, the Avon Roadrider 4:00 x18 is a bit of a weird duck in this day of metric sizes, but is listed as OK to fit on a wm3 rim. It has a 64 weight rating as opposed to 57 for the 100/90 tires. This used to mean 640 pounds vs 570, but all of those numbers have shifted a little lower. Still roughly the same 70 pounds extra carrying capacity tho.
Nice and wide too, if you like width. It is in between a 110 and a 120 for width.
As far as the tread goes, the 100/90/19 s are a Universal whereas the 400x 18 is specifically a rear tire, so it has greater tread depth. I learned this recently from Fast Eddie.
I wondered why my switch to a 400x 18 rear from a 100/90/19 universal tire on the Vincent has improved tire mileage 50% with the same brand and model of tire, Avon Roadrider. Part of it is the extra width, the rest is due to the greater tread depth.
I recently switched to new Morad /Akront flanged alloys for the Commando and was looking for Wm 4 in that profile. I was told that they were going to be available in the coming months, however no firm date was given so I went with wm3 s, which get the job done.
