Am posting to ask if Norton owners endorse using tubeless type tires on their vintage bikes with spoked wheels to get the benefits of using more modern design tires. I realize that you would still have to use tubes and good quality rim strips to be able to use them. I own and have owned other early and mid 70s bikes that for the most part used tube type tires. Forum members of other bike brands and models, namely first gen gold wings, and Suzuki RE5s rotary engine bikes, both of which I own or have owned, advocate using modern tubeless type tires to get the benefits of modern tire performance, if you intend to actually ride them enough to log some real miles on them. There seems to be two trains of thought: use tube type tires that have similar to original tread patterns to keep an original look, or use tubeless tires to get better performance and maybe better mileage if as I said you intend to do some extended riding. I have used tubeless tires on both of the afore mentioned bikes with good results. What are other members using or recommending.

Most tyres are design tubeless anyway still can run them with tubes, new bikes come fitter with tubeless tyres and tubes fitted on spoke wheels.
