Looks like good old tarmac to me...& I did post a ton-up dirt mile H2 action shot somewhere, & oh, yeah -Matt, remind us, when was was the last time you tonned - anything - anywhere? Perhaps it was a Vespa , with an RD 350 mill?

Matt, I can see that Triumph sports a suspiciously nickelly Rickman-like look, & again, if you had any funds to put up, I `d not hesitate to place a wager with you on which has greater torsional chassis strength, a stock pre-unit Bonneville vs stock H2...
 
Ride that one [or the Velo] on the dirt for long, it wouldn`t stay so shiny , inside or out...

Re Smart, nah they fired him,- 'loss of face' to use bloody Blitish chassis, instead of factory Kawasaki unit.
Flat 4 [opposed] Konig, & poor bloody Newcombe's nasty demise is a big reason I`m not an organ donor...
