Throttle position sensor

What’s the procedure for resetting throttle position? The bike will start and idle but won’t rev.

When you try and rev does the engine cut out?

You may have an issue with your MAP sensor, newer ones have a green mark on them.

My 2013 doesn't have a MAP sensor, although the manual refers to one. Can they be retro-fitted with an SC ECU?

Yes as soon as you touch the throttle it cuts out. It stopped on me at about 30 mph, there was a tiny misfire then it died. Where is the MAP sensor? The big problem is I’m at the TT and need to ride home next Saturday.

Assuming it is a commando... what year is it?
It should be bolted above the throttle bodies.. I can send you a picture of exactly where tomorrow...

Sorry I missed this one before..
I don't believe it is as simple as that, thinking just loom wise and the bridging loom for the ECU as I am sure the pins are different. I can message you more on it tomorrow.

Yes commando, 18 plate. I think I’ve found the MAP, is it a generic part that might be available on the Isle Of Man?

I don't know why you would want one . There is enough to go wrong as it is. You can always opt for the Norton Euro 3 New Omex upgrade . I think all of the new features will be included with that , solid state tilt switch assy etc..

If you can take it off you may be able to match one up... the pipe can be a sod to get back on mind...

Ash, I’ve spoken to the guys in the race truck and they said send one ASAP to them at the paddock and also give one to Stuart as he is coming over on Wednesday. They are going to have a look at it and fit the MAP.
