NO, buy it, the parts come up frequently on ebay, crank rods and cases, can be gotten for under $1000.
Even if you strip it down and do a full nut and bolt rebuild, you would have under $6000 into it for a like new bike.
 
2+ above as all Commandos are really just parts kits you have to go though anyway and this ones been kept inside and cheap as dirt compared to one that's been gone though then used up.
 
assuming you can do the mechanical work yourself that is, labor bills add up quick.
 
Rear drum brake makes it look like a 74. I would buy it if I lived closer.

Well thank guys for the prompt replys, just called about it but had been sold quite awhile ago. Apparently was re-listed in error. :roll:
 
Ugh, never set taste buds for desert until ya know if any served or not eh. Still after over a decade of my own and others recoveries I think its more cost and labor effective to just buy the parts you want and start from scratch.
