Terminal velocity

I've read that. Still no proof.
One crashes off the Coast of Hawaii. Did it crash or get shot down. Either way, didn't fly into our airspace.
The one over Texas and Florida. Don't recall any sightings of it, no pictures, nothing. Just a lot of Hot air after this debacle.
Until proven otherwise this gets filed under misinformation. There's a lot of that going around.

My contention is this should have never been allowed to happen.
Should have been taken care of once it entered our airspace off the Coast of Alaska.

We are seriously being Challenged by the CCP. Anyone who can't see it is either asleep, being paid off or both.
For over 20 years I've been saying we are going to Rue the Day that we did business with China.

You are free to believe whomever you wish to believe.
I am not a fan of China.
I believe our military intelligence far superior. Blind faith maybe.
If we are entangled with China it is of our own doing.

The key quotes:

US officials have also acknowledged that a balloon had floated above the continental US in a previous instance in the early days since Joe Biden took over as president.

White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan said at an event on Monday that the US has “enhanced our surveillance of our territorial airspace, we enhanced our capacity to be able to detect things that the Trump administration was unable to detect”.

That such craft belonged to China was determined only after they had left US airspace in the previous purported times, according to General Glen VanHerck, the head of US Northern Command.

I will tell you that we did not detect those threats,” he said. The general pointed to “a domain awareness gap that we have to figure out” and said the US intelligence community had pointed to such alleged incursions only “after the fact”.

My own take-China regularly violates Taiwan's airspace to test resolve. I think this was an attempt to do the same. The current administration might have gained a lot more credibility and respect if they had taken it out over the Aleutians rather than let it transit the entire US.

Yes, we are in agreement. I too believe our military is superior, however, underestimating one's opponent will get one's ass kicked real fast.
China has inflitrated us so deep, who knows how much technical info thay have.
Would not be surprised if some of our military venders have outsourced technical products for our military.
Whether there were previous balloons or not does not make this one any more correct, nor the previous ones.
That's like saying your neighbor has hit on your wife or significant other, but it's Ok, cause he's done it before.
No F..in way. You take care of business right then and there.
The CCP wants to rule the world and is testing our resolve. If we don't ball up and take care of business , it'll only get worse.
I'm in the construction field and it makes me sick to see all the China stuff.
We need to wean ourselves off the un-moral, Communistic dooshbags.
Rant over.......

I agree on China - but your "military intelligence" (an oxymoron?) didn't see that object coming - why? Can't say that it was small.
It could have been shot down before getting over USA - if it was seen.
It took civilians to point it out to them.
What else don't they see?

NORAD identified it over the Pacific ocean, far off the Alaskan coast, three days prior to any civilian sightings.

The timeline is easy enough to find, as are the reasons for allowing it to remain airborne.

Make of it what you will.

You gonna join up?

You gonna join up?
This has nothing to do with inlisting..
This gives every civilian constituent.. directed through their elected congressman a Say going forward....Unless you think another war/conflict in Europe is in the best interest of the American people. ??
I would say the southern boarder crisis has far more importance than the eastern boarder of Ukraine for the American people...don't you think ?
