TAB II Alloy Tank #3

A tank strap on a bike that has its tank bolted to the bike itself, reminds me of this.

What about this one with some metal studs added, like stars sparkling in the night sky?🤔

Any guesses what nationality this guy might be 😆?

Nice work .
Ye Tony, his stuff is top drawer - Stu uses his services I think; definitely the go-to guy in the UK.

I’ve been looking over here but have’nt found anybody that I would trust yet. Corresponded with Harry - he receives work from overseas so I may consider that. Seems a bit ridiculous though, shipping components half way around the world for quality polishing. No doubt I’ll find someone in-country.

Why not!

If you’re going with something pointless then why not go extreme with the pointlessness ?!
Of course you’re right FE. I mean, who’s ever heard of a biker fitting a part, component or accessory to his/her P&J, that is only there for appearance sake!? Unheard of! What waaaaas I thinking!

“Utterly pointless and extremely bad taste”

Exactly!

And I’m glad you pointed out the deficiencies in the TFC design, inc the false strap.

The false Amal monoblocks are the same to me. Personally, I would prefer to see straightforward ‘honest’ injector bodies.

But one man’s ‘bad taste’ is another man’s ‘attention to detail’ and I am at least pleased to see that you are coming around to my (correct) way of thinking.

Well done. Keep improving !

Really appreciate your wisdom and guidance FE and as such, I’ve ditched the idea of a tank strap! I know right!!!! It was a stupid idea anyway!! A strap - across the tank - like an old Norton!

Anyway………., what do you think about one across the tail unit!? 🤔

Ok enough now.
Now you’re just being ridiculous!

Next you’ll be wanting to do this to your bike.

I know I know.
It’s an American thing. It all started in the Appalachian region.

I’m getting uncomfortable with your obsession with ‘strap-on’ things here Stephen …

This is not that kind of forum you know…

But, back to things that you want to strap onto your motorcycle… it’s your bike mate, so do whatever floats your boat.

Please just remember that when you ASK for opinions, it’s likely you’ll get some.
