On my newly acquired Commando is one of the Silencer with the Norton logo engraved but with slightly golden touch mounted. It looks like stainless steel. It's in really good shape, as new, so I try to find a twin.
Any idea who's making them? It's not Andover-Norton as I'm told by Joe Seiffert.

Pic of the logo ? - might help to identify it.
There are a lot of stainless workers out there.
Engraving it sounds a nice (expensive) touch.

What are the internals ? They can very, considerably.
Have you heard what it sounds like.

Try BRITISH SPARES website. Old Brits Website. Clubman Racing. These all advertise mufflers with Norton logo.

Joe Seifert told me they never made stainless steel peashooters and he (Andover Norton) is the owner of the trademark.

I purchased a pair of peashooter mufflers with the Norton logo back in 1985-1986. They were not stainless and am not sure if stainless was available as an option back then. Back 25-30 years ago---who owned the trademark?? It could have been that anyone could make the parts and put the logo on---no body much cared---only until the money started to flow in from more and more sales of Norton parts did the people begin to tighten up on who owned what so the profits would come in to their bank accounts---not just anyone. Your mufflers--although looking new---could have been made 20--30 years ago but just recently been installed---thus looking new to you. Just because someone may own the name to something does not necessarily mean that it halts the manufacture of an item with that name on it---happens all the time.
Google --NORTON peashooter mufflers with Norton logo----see what you find.

I have problems to upload pictures to this forum. But I've shown the «piece of resistance» on th CBBC-Forum (Classic British Bike Club, Germany):

So I have to find a way to «img» the picture. Do I have to create an URL for the picture in question? Don't know how but probably I'll find a way. :o

The photo URL was incomplete.

It needs to begin with "http://"...etc... and usually end with ".JPG"

Your previous image was a "php file" image (uploaded to CBBC.de) so I'm not quite sure how or why it works-but it does.
