The top hat spacer 06.7629 fits in the 11/16" drive gearbox hole.
The correct Commando drive gearbox is BG5330/171.
Makes sense - my original post was correct and all those who say 11/16" are correct, but the tophat at is required to make it work. In the original BG5330/171 I have, the tophat is built-in or maybe pressed in - I certainly can't get it out and it appears to be molded in. 3/4" is still wrong.

No, not built or moulded in.

The soft metal of the drive gearbox gets crushed and distorts from axle tightening which often clamps the spacer and is a common problem.

The gearbox I received from Feked is BG5330/168. I have not tried to fit it yet. Are you saying that they sent me the wrong gearbox?

The correct drive gearbox for all Commandos except 850 Mk3, is BG5330/171.

BG5330/168 is the same 15/12, 1.25:1 ratio but 3/4" hole.

Thank you LAB. I ordered the BG5330/168 because Feked said it was for 1966 on Nortons and corresponded to Norton part # 060627. I now see that I have the wrong drive.
I will contact Feked on Mon. for a possible exchange for correct part. I'll let you know how Feked treats me.

Well, BG5330/168 doesn't appear to be the correct drive gearbox for any '66-on Norton.
It's for various BSA A75, Triumph T120, TR6, T150 models.

LF Harris is a well respected Triumph spares supplier, who sells to Trade customers. All the Harris kit I have bought has been good quality.

LF Harris is as close to OEM for Meriden Triumphs as we’ve got. LF Harris is (was) Les Harris (RIP) the same Harris who made T140s and Tigers under licence from Bloor after Meriden closed.

LF Harris quality is normally excellent.

It never ceases to amaze me how some of the Far Easten companies manage to find ways of making things worse. I recently had a primary chain tensioner blade disintegrate on my T140. It was new, fitted by the PO. Turns out it was Taiwanese from Wassell and a known issue. I fitted a Harris replacement and all is good. The annoying thing is, it could not have been meaningfully cheaper to make the bad part vs the good part, it’s an incredibly simple and cheap part for goodness sake. It can only be down to either lack of knowledge or like of conscientiousness... in other words, they know it’ll fail but once they’ve sold 10,000 they don’t give a f**k !!

I believe that is what it is. It's being built by an entity that does not understand or care of the function of the part and don't have a way of testing. We are the test bed. Original factory venders are built to a standard, back in the day.
Not to mention the Metric vs. Imperial sizing.. Fork tubes as an example.
Haven't decided yet if it's good or a curse all these low cost, some substandard parts.

Me either. The current EMGO Roadster tanks, IMHO, are better made than the originals. Their side panels are quite good, but lack the standoffs for the oil tank cover - have to use washers or add the standoffs yourself. However, I bought an EMGO rear brake cable that was so heavy duty that it wouldn't bend enough to be properly routed and therefore would not work properly. I also bought one of their shorty mufflers for a BSA single that was so heavy metal and oversize that they could not be clamped on until I sawed slots in them. Other EMGO things have been somewhere between very good and junk.
