spacing between horn mount and fender.

I had a time getting the right spacing between where the horn mount goes on the battery tray and the rear fender. Seems that on some bikes the fender mounts right up to the back side of the battery tray but mine needed about 3/4 of an inch more. Here is what I did.









The spacers are threaded all the way through so the horn mount bolts on with bolts that use the spacer as a nut. Then the fender comes in and mounts with nuts. The first picture has the horn in place.

Ah so, very pleasing to view your robust solution. I too fiddled spacers/studs there but mostly of robust rubber witch tended to deaden the sheet metal clang you aren't really aware of till its deadened. I also made the one above these the common Earth point on a custom wire job.

Yes the horn is a tight fit, I had some fun juggling mine, latter on the horn mount thread stripped. And had to half strip the bike to get it back out and fixed. Beautiful pictures and plenty of details, so much so I can notice your left shock bolt is not tight!
