Single phase open regulator rectifier

I have purchased three regulators from Jack at Roadstercycle - one for my DRZ Supermoto and two others to do similar conversions for riding pals.
I will be discussing my Commando with him soon.
He's very helpful/knowledgeable - plus he's a good guy.
 
Certainly an interesting thread...
I may well try a 3 phase stator and a series regulator unit.
FH020AA Regulator/Rectifier with connector kit.

I noticed a UK office with a German branch office

That’s a shunt (shorted) type. Only SH775 and SH847 open up the alternator circuit.

Thanks I'll reread it again. Don't need another shunt to ground type....got plenty of those and want to try the series regulator
It seems in there were duty cycle controlled , switched on to supply power. Very different from dumping the excess to ground.
