My "go to" daily rider is my poor long suffering '92 R100GS;

It just turned over 100K miles returning from the Nation's Capital Norton Owners Rally last September. It's probably gonna get some top end love this winter after my '73 Commando gets looked at.

A recent addition is a 2001 Ducati ST2, picked up last year from the original owner with only 6K miles on it.;

I haven't ridden it much, only about 6K since i got it.

I've also got a Bultaco Sherpa T and a Beta Techno, but due to some recent health issues, I haven't ridden them much recently. I'm hopeing to change that in the near future.

There's also a '74 Commando and a '74 Ducati 750 GT that I recently aquired from the original owner, however both have been parked since the early 80s and need a bunch of work. I've got projects stretching out for the rest of my life between maintaining my bikes, my wife's bikes (Ducati Monster, BMW R80ST, BMW K75S) and returning my others to the road.

Just got my 1996 Ducati Monster M900 up and running! I bought it off ebay last summer as a non-runner. It's a nice bike but had been neglected by the last couple of owners. It's running good now! More work to do but I got it out for a couple of good rides today.

Very nice.
Neglected Ducs can be a whole bundle of fun by all accounts, so you dun well !

Monsters are fun! My wife has a 2004 1000S ie that was neglected by the PO too. He had removed all the body work except the tank and seat to make a bobber out of it. Too bad he hadn't spent any money on chains, sprockets, or brake pads.

Anyway, a pic shortly after I started getting bodywork for it;

And as it looks currently;

My wife also has a 1000 Monster, good bike, handles stops and goes very well. I don't have to worry about it stopping or letting her down. (just the speeding fines)

PS,,, if any of you monster owners need a headlight lens BMW ones are the same and you can buy just the glass at way less than from Ducati

I nearly brought one new in 1985 ($14995) but ended up keeping my 1981 900 SD (84 rwhp) (owned 31 years now) also had a 79 Sportster in 1985.

A new bike for the stable,I have been looking for one for a long time.

Heres the latest addition to my Twins club.
I've been looking at these, could you let us know what it rides like please?
I will Eddie. I had surgery (nothing serious) a few weeks ago but not allowed to ride at the moment as per doctors orders. I had this delivered and currently just gazing at it but chomping at the bit to take it out. Hopefully I'll get the all clear soon :)

Well, get well soon sir, and please post when you've had chance to go for a good canter !

Got a like new Dirt/Duddle Bug in yellow as pits bike and spen 3 days figuring out why is was so new and after 3 yrs with oil clean as new. Only good on pretty level ground w/o thick grass but does ~25 mph on levelish smooth conditions. 97cc 2.5hp stock, if that d/t the gearing. Most everyone that keeps em long puts in 6.5 hp and also variable belt tranny but then goes so fast 45-55 its tiny tires and no suspension nor front brake become annoying but boy howdy are they wheelie prone too.

Hey Bernard thanks for the neat military mini bikes and the site that showed a Taco100B which may well be the ultimate mini bike that still pretty light and simple. Got both ends suspension and cleaver swing arm jack shaft with a Predator 6.5 hp engine it would be my pick of the litter to match real motorcycles up to 50 mph. Fold down ape hanger bars would allow packing in most car back seats, if oil and fuel tight. There are front disc brake kits for these too. I had a trailer hitch mount made for my Dirt Bug that grabs the frame rails not the tires and held firmly by just one hose clamp that stays on a frame rail. The small 4 stroke mini bikes sound rather good and if my plans to attend more cycle events works out a Taco 100B would also allow me and wife to use around Ozark Mt home stead the only level places are roofed over. Take a trip on this mini bike scene.

Cool bike cyclone. I have always liked Velocettes, especially that exhaust.
and.... thanks for returning this thread to topic. I'm not sure how it derailed into cut and paste pics and videos of mini bikes.
