As to the difficulty with inserting a photo...if you want to insert an "image" then the address on the server has to end in .jpg or such...then it will work...for example.....

Hey SpitfireRick, we're going to have a very similar looking bike when finished. Doing the same black Roadster side panels with my stock silver Interstate tank. Thought about putting the large Norton script on the tank but not sure. I think the look is awesome with out modifying to the point it can't be easily changed to stock in the future. Very nice bike!

wow, cool.....twins. british twin twins....I like the seat too. the silver and black combo is my final stop for paint schemes...I do have a major issue with the tank though...the guy who painted it for me f--ked it up. to make a long story short....this is the second time he painted the tank and third time the side covers because the other times he didn't check the pictures and examples of decal placement i gave him and clear-coated over after placing them too far forward(see pic) ..... he didn't want to repaint it, but he had a few customers in the shop when I was there and he didn't want to cause a bigger scene after the initial shouting match. to top it off when I went to pick it up the second time the Norton seemed too high on the tank(as you can see in the picture). I am thinking of having the tank painted again by someone else, but it was so bloody expensive the first time.
if only i could paint I would have done it myself.

SpitfireRick, that's too bad. It's a shame to have to pay someone else for a third repaint. FWIW, the tank looks really nice, better than with the decal too far forward, and the bike overall is so sharp! Can't wait to see the manx seat :wink:

ps. still waiting for the pic of my seat from the wife....we've got different priorities!

thanks for the support...i just want to ride the beast.....maybe the bad feelings will go away....if not, well, at least no one I know will bring their painting needs to this guy.

I finally whined enough to get my wife to email the pics. Turned out nice! Next is to get her to put it on the bike for another pic...but maybe I shouldn't push my luck :wink: I'll be home in a couple weeks anyway. Here ya go gang...
