Hi all - looking to replace the silencers on my ‘73 850 - just curious were original oem pea shooters seamed or unseamed? I see them both ways. Thank you

I purchased a "71 Roadster that had the original seamless mufflers but I believe that the 850's were seamed.

I bought a 72 Fastback in 1975 and the pea shooters were seamless.
They used to make the Canary twitter noise at tick over and at the end of overrun.
I had to replace them quite soon after because they rusted through in the water catcher position. (Steel rotted at the rate of Banana peel in those days).
I could only afford pattern replacements at the time and they had the seams - always looked wrong.

I fitted new seamless AN peashooters to my current Interstate - they look and sound great....no canaries though.....?

I do know the canary sounds! I’m not sure if mine are original but they make it. I like the seamless look though for sure! I was hoping the earlier ones were a little louder too

My 1974 829cc Roadster came with seamed peashooters. I believe they were original.
I replaced with seamless from Commando specialties. Look nice - sound good.

Had a 73 Mk 1 850 from new back in the day. They were seamed and had removable mutes.
No longer have the bike.

loved the twitter on my '70, 750 Fastback, I always thought it was the fluted baffle that did it!

I ended up picking up some non-fluted 1972 pipes. I prefer the look and they sound great - lots of "twittering" out of the baffles! They sound and look great. Thanks for all your help
