Safety wire directions

When I get some time I'll post the official AC 43.13 aircraft standards handbook pages on safety wire. If anyone has any questions about the correct way, please ask. 14 years of aircraft maintainance, one gets good at it.

There is an art to it, for sure. I take pride in my safety-wire work. Some guys do it just good enough to get through tech inspection.

One of my favorites is tying the oil-pipe junction bolt diagonally up to the pressure relief valve, then straight down to the rocker feed banjo off the back of the timing cover. Pure elegance. 8)

Just finished safety wiring my Commando a few days ago...now the only thing that can fall off is me! :)

My 1st Norton P!! was successful full race dragster prior to me, had aircraft wire web art connecting all the head bolts and all the cylinder base bolts plus a bunch of other stuff only connecting a few fasteners down.
