Rim for front wheel (disk)

Hi beautiful people,
Can you help me understand if the rim here below would be ok for my front wheel (disk brake)?
The spokes are cross laced which is correct. But In particular I wanted your opinion on the fact that the holes pattern is 2 right and 2 left, instead of being 1 and 1 as my stock rims show.
Supposedly this was fitted on a commando or maybe on a dunstall wheel. Not 100% sure.
I've sent the same pic to Central Wheel Components here in the UK and their response has been:
" the rim will likely build onto the hub but the drilling angles are not 100% correct for that hub so you will end up with spokes bowing."

-What do you say? Would you go for it or not?

Since the spokes on a front disk wheel are almost vertical on the disk side, and quite offset on t'other side, this rim appears to be drilled for a spoke pattern that is nothing like that. ?
If your pic had also shown the hub, and where the spokes ended up, you would have made your own answer ?

But as Central say, rather optimistically, if you don't mind that the spokes have to be bent and forced to fit, you can probably do it. With a large enough hammer, anything can be made to fit !

The final proof of the pudding is in the eating - have you set them up with the hub, as above, so you can see where the spokes want to go towards the rim/hub. If it starts to look more like an angry hedgehog, or a tangle of spokes, you just know this ain't gunna work....

P.S. Your pic doesn't show where the ends of the spokes finish up, but they look like they may have been intended for use with a drum brake - which had a large diameter and symmetrically sided hub - not a small diam hub which is heavily offset to one side.

Rohan is absolutely correct, the front disc rims have a very large offset and anything but dedicated drilling for this particular application is liable to end badly. I cant see from the photo but if you put 4 spokes in the rim it is fairly easy to see whether this is drilled for an offset application or not. It is also important that the drilling is correct for the diameter of hub that you are intending to lace it on, so even a centrally drilled rim for an 8 inch hub will not fit nicely centrally on a 9 inch hub.

Here you go, check the pic below. This is the rim with a disk hub.
BTW I do not have the rim in my hands so cannot do a proper check. Only thing I have are the pics (so far), have to decide if I buy it and get it fitted or not.

Sorry Orsonoce, I can't discern anything from this photo, can you take one parrallel from the sides of the rim and see where the hub sits in relation to a notional centre line down the middle.
