If you're dropping the rear wheel out of a Mk111, it's a good idea to put the mainstand feet on a board (1" thick or so) this will make the job of clearing the mudguard much easier, in fact it's almost essential if you have anything wider than a 4.10 fitted. The alternative is canting a bike with no rear wheel over on one stand foot one-handed whilst trying to get the wheel out with the other. It can be done but it's scary.
Out on the road, you'll need a handy kerb to work from.
