This is the main thrust of the issue. It can even be checked with the wheel off the swing arm, using some spacers of course. Wheel binding from tightening the axle is either an external rub like the speedo box, the brake cover plate or the bearing spacers are incorrect.regental said:When everything is tightened up correctly, the wheel is turning on its 2 bearings and the sprocket on its bearing.. - Alan

On the numbered drawing above, seal 25 should be to the right of bearing 23 (it is correct in the unnumbered drawing above).
It is vital that spacer 30 only contacts the inner part of bearing 10 - also on the other side, spacer 11 should only contact the inner part of bearing 23.
When everything is tightened up correctly, the wheel is turning on its 2 bearings and the sprocket on its bearing.
Sometimes when you tighten the nut on the left hand side (speedo gearbox end) the wheel will not turn due to the gearbox catching the sprocket - I put a thin washer between spacer 11 and bearing 23 to cure this. - Alan
