thanks Jean for posting pictures of my brake and bike. Indeed it is, was, a Luchier double discs, one of the most progressive (small discs size ) brake and still as powerfull as a good modern set up...It was created in the mid seventies by a small entrepreneur and had a long life on micro cars and glider/ulm. I found this one being a journalist for Moto REvue and testing it on a Morini. Kept it for almost 25 years and finally used it on my Commando. Main problem: it was French and poorly marketed and could not be adapted on Japanese bikes without loosing the speedometer... I just found a single disc model but it will not enough for the Commando...
I wish I could find funny the remark implying that this brake could be the reason of my accident .... being on a crutch for 3 months and not being sure of ever having the use of my right arm (nerve dammages) has put a dent on my sense of humor....
My bike is being rebuild with a friend of mine as (as my wife said "it was not her fault, lets rebuild her!") and I hope ti put a picture as soon as its finished.
Philippe
