Yes, Jamie and I share a shop - Spannerland - and I maintain some of the fleet. He keeps to himself, but is a good dude with Norton in his blood. And he walks the walk, often taking some of these out and racing them hard.

HI

I posted on the Commando forum that people out to read Jamies site. Met him at Beezumph at Cadwell Park were he rode well. If you read Homeslices site you will see he is often out there racing. The monocoque is out of a shop window & will be used. To have a replica built so that you can thrash it without fear & see exactly what it was like in the day!!!! WOW.
Being honest most of his bikes are on my wishlist.

Best of luck to him

all the best Chris

Here he is with that stunnng norton at barber 2010. The bike is pure beauty on wheels.

Quite the collection

Gorgeous machine! I always thought it would be sweet to pu together a replica of the old Peter William monocoque. Unfortunately I don't have the cash or skill to do something like that so I'll have to settle for good pics and vids.

From memory he brought a bike or two down to the Pukekohe Classic Festival here in NZ a couple of years back, including the monocoque?

Correct he had Dave Croxford riding the cosworth but i think it had a gearbox problem, The week later Dave Croxford and wife attended the Norton Owners Rally at BanksPenisular [Akoroa] Though only for a short time as he had been bitten by a spider while travelling on the west coast.

"OLD AGE & TREACHERY ALWAYS OVERCOME YOUTH & SKILL"

I gotta get me one of those....

I don't see why it is amazing when a multi-millionaire buys-together a collection of anything. That is what they all do , yawn.

I know an old racer who worked his whole life in shops with his hands who has bikes that he raced fifty years ago. He made his own flywheels and transmission gears in the basement of his house and used them in competition.

Does that put anything into perspective?

I would much rather see a rich guy like for example Jay Leno buying, restoring and using old bikes than seeing him squandering his money on coke, booze, gambling and whores :!:

I think it's amazing based on my feeble lifestyle. The thought of anyone being able to just drop hundreds of thousands for toys when ever they want is mind blowing , interesting and pure fantasy in my mind. I like hearing the tales.

Somehow I get the feeling that beng is the most amazing person on the face of the earth, and only associates with amazing, perfect people.

Anything less seems to really get under his skin.

Is this the same beng that was/is so negative over on the britbike forum? Thus far he has three posts and all are negative, wonder if he is related to another new member?

Well Grandpaul you can have an opinion for me, it is a public forum, but that also means I can have one for you right?

You are a busine$$man who u$e$ British motorcycle$ to make money, $o for me that means that anything you $ay or do on the $ubject of BritBike$ is tainted and impure.

You $lather your$elf and your product over the internet, it is adverti$ing for you. You try to market the idea to hipster$ and other "people" with more money than brain$ that you can sell them cool if they fill your pocket up with some green.

If I want a good opinion or the truth about anything in this world, the last place I will look is to tho$e with a "$pecial interest" in the $ubject at hand.....

Not exactly pure logic there.

If it's my business, and I intend to survive, I have to be reputable.

So far, so good. NOBODY can complain that I owe them one penny and/or haven't made good on a single nut or a complete overhaul that i've EVER been advised was lacking.

Let me just say that you have arrived on this scene with quite a negative attitude, all your posts so far ar scathingly negative. Chill a bit, re-think it all, and let's get on with it like gentlemen.
