I see clutch cables listed as for use with or without the alloy lever. I've got early chrome levers on my '72, along with a drum brake. Mostly because I like them. Is the 062813 clutch cable what I need for use with US bars? I don't know the technical term for the free space, or whatever you would call this: The distance in between the nipple and the start of the cable sheath cap. That is; the amount of actual bare cable you can see. That's how I size up whether they will work or not. Back to my question - is that amount of space I'm referring to different on the alloy lever cables, or is there some other difference?
