Not calling out the Aussies and their lessor brethren the Kiwis = racist.

I've followed a number of lists over the years dedicated to British bikes, and Nortons in particular. NOC, INOA, Brit-Iron, Brit-Bike, and AccessNorton to name a few. They've all been different in their own way but I don't think it was due to differences in the kind of intervention by the moderators or owners. One list had the moderator monitor all the posts which screwed up the chronology to the point it was impossible to follow a thread. Another just black balled people and after a while that started to get pretty arbitrary. The best lists seem to govern themselves somehow. I can't begin to figure out how it's done but it looks like it's just a matter of ignoring the rotters that stumble in and tolerating the lapses that people seem to have occasionally. Lists with a high turnover have more static, but that's all it is.dave M said:It is Jerry's site, so to a large degree if he is satisfied with the way things are going then who am I to question the status quo? However I'm sure Jerry would welcome feedback from the membership, I am certainly interested in hearing other's opinions on this issue.

Gday All, many thanks to the emails and PM's in support to Missy's Butt. As stated previously I had no trouble with her removal but this threat "Guess I will be signing off now. Jim" was made mmmm..... a bit limp when a simple request for her removal was all thats needed!
Anyone wanting Missy's Butt can email me and I'll quite happily forward her on. Ive also lost to much weight following her for miles so she had to go

I agree with both opinions here.comnoz said:Fullauto said:Personally, I find this site to be the most polite and well mannered that I have ever seen.
Well this world is small and getting smaller all the time, especially when your talking about the Norton community. Personally I hope to be able to meet most everybody on this list some day over a beer. I can't say that about any of the other forums I have been around. Jim

I don't drink anymore but it bring quite a smile to my face to think of being part of such an event. I am invited aren't I?
From all the wazoo's to wizard from all the continents and time zone. Man, what an event that would be. Oh the hilarity!

I still think that had to be one of the best rides I have ever taken. That and Hell's Backbone. Or maybe the Texas Rally. What kind of beer do you guy's drink I'm paying for the first round!!
Hortons Norton said:Well what's the best time of the year?? I thought the rally must have been close to the best, But seriously I do want to make it back, Maybe camp at the Mancos campground? They seemed to be great people. The wife loved the ride through the mountains, your one lucky man to live so close to those roads. For some reason we never made it up to Mesa Verde while there and that was a mistake I need to correct. Maybe a mini rally? Just a show if you can type of deal.

In the mountains usually July through September is pretty good. I think a Norton Access rally would be a really neat idea.
