Anywhere to get points other than an .new set fell apart while installing today

Did you complain to AN?
As far as I'm aware the pattern points sets currently available are made by Daiichi, Japan (maybe even the 'new' Wassell Lucas points although unlikely to be any better quality wherever they're made?) so if you buy them elsewhere they are likely to be from the same manufacturer.

That's the 73-on 10CA points set.
"CONTACT SET, COMMANDO 1970 ONWARDS" is not correct.....as it also says:

FITS: 1973-1975 NORTON TWINS

If PJFlynn's '71 model still has it's original points assembly then it uses the 6CA points.
