Hi All.
I have removed the plate to change the distributor chain.
I will change the points but this is not the problem.
I need to understand better the points setting.
Particulary the distributor points cam compared to the camshaft/ TDC/BTDC.

I mus replace the "auto advance unit" as the picture n. 20, pag. 26, with the engine to BTDC 28 degree?.

Yes, the points cam has to be rotated and held at full advance as the auto advance unit is positioned and then the cam locked in that (full advance) position with additional washers (or the Fig. 21 washer) as the bolt is tightened (manual p.27 pdf p.26 "To reset ignition timing"....paragraph 6).

After the timing has been set on both cylinders the additional washers need to be removed and the bolt then fully tightened.
