About to try to ride Trixie again after couple mo's down time d/t worn out drum bearing and lose clutch nut. One funny stupid flurry to get going was trying to find the shift lever - til just assembling w/o it - Duh, Trixie has rear sets so shifter just tipped back out of way to remove kS lever. Wes is on the way but I'm slightly in pensive gut tension tremble state to restart fully wet sumped and risk what ever road fates and wondering if wise to leave w/o putting trailer on car for wife to rescue again. Does it ever cross your minds not to ever ride again, it does me each and everytime. Last 2 times out on Trixie had her low side on L knee then hi side down on R elbow in cold night rain on THE Mud, and a couple weeks later about de-rimed off road by rear flat squirrels in gusty condition trying to beat cold rain front, so ended up with pissed wife rescue and me in pain fixing flat in dark wet cold with cuts for sticky blood annoyance and teeth gritting endurance. Fun Fun Fun till Daddy take the T-bird away eh. Upper 50's F clear so off to meet Wes mid way and forget I'm old and smart enough to easy talk myself out of this life style.

"Does it ever cross your minds not to ever ride again" No, not ever

Wesley & I just cheated death again w/o pressing any limits [excepting the extra sharp always Graveled paved switch back on Rock House Rd. [I've a picture of that webshot's s sell out removed] into Eureka Springs that we both spoke of in awe with conscious awareness watching out for it, after our brain chemistry properly numbed out ahead of time. We survived another magical ride with leafless trees revealing hidden cabins and land scape knockouts dangerous to look at long, with no issues of close calls by animals or big twins wide swings and lot of thumbs up blessings from a number of Harley big twin riders once parked in ES's biker bar. Trixie was a magical flying carpet ride with a fixed drum bearing and chains slack all optimized and even resisting pressing limits in ideal spots so rear skips out in delight in perfect paved banked two lane turns rarity on return leg home with setting sun not behind Mt's yet so mostly not suffering the air chill endurance issues. A hand full of Harley and Victory big twin riders out and about with with their cute gals and us but no other BMW' or Italian or Japaneses riders to be seen. Got up to 90's mph in easy sections where Combat power gets extra pull onset but didn't give in to temptations but high as can be non the less, cheating death and no show stoppers. If easy riding excursions ain't so intense to you'all - oh well it sure is to some of us. Wes's recent ring job didn't smoke but Trixie did in spades till warmed up on the fly then nothing smell or visible detectable - so far.

Here's one photo at beginning of outing but may disappear in digital limbo soon,
similar to our lives, so catch it while ya can.
