Has anyone heard the commando specialties peashooters? They look nice and the price is waaaay right, but I don't want that tinny after market sound.

I installed the CS seamless peashooters a couple of months back. The price was VERY reasonable and they fit perfectly. I'm really impressed with the quality of the chrome finish...and I guarantee you won't be disappointed with the sound.

FWIW, I bought a set of used Toga's on eBay (I overpaid) just so I could remedy the one side of my bike which had been horribly soldered to patch up a hole. -Jordan
Pray tell, how much did you pay for those mufflers? And how much did you over pay for them?

I don't feel like getting into it with you on the forums. You're getting way too defensive about nothing. Honestly, I felt I overpaid because I looked at how much I could've paid to get a BRAND NEW, SEAMLESS set. Buyer's remorse, plain and simple.

The set I bought is fine, in decent used condition, and the price wasn't probably far off of what they were "worth". My only point is that for what brand new cost, I was a bit disappointed in my decision to buy used. That's it.

I'm done with this issue so if you want to continue on about it, I won't be responding.

Have a fantastic day.

I've noticed on quite a few threads the hostilities and defenses are rising quickly for silly reasons, myself included. Winter has set in good this year........

I think it's the stink bugs that are coming out in my house in droves now that they are trying to find a warm place to mate. That's why I'm so irritable anyhow, probably collected 100+ of them today.

Damn it, winter!

Note: I've had my bike for about four months now and I've still never ridden a Commando. Not even for 10 seconds. :(

I need to get off my lazy ass and go to my dad's on a consistent basis to really get rolling on my bike so it's ready when the weather improves. At this point, we've done a little, but not much, to get started. :(

Good news is, they shipped. Bad news I still won't get them in time to fit and try until Spring, but at least getting them factory direct is quick.

I received the peashooters for commando specialties today. For 129 bucks they really are nice. The only difference from the expensive ones I had is that the weld at the bottom where the muffler fits into the header is not real smooth, but I can't complain because you really don't see that part of the bike unless you are laying next to it. I fitted them without any issues and they sound a bit deeper that the others, but that was inside the garage so the sound isn't true as being on the road. From what I did hear I liked the sound better. When the weather gets nice I'll know for sure after I get to ride and the real test will be time if they hold up, but they are a pretty darn robustly built. One of the better buys I've recently made. I need new headers now that I have clean mufflers. :)

Go ahead and send them my way, thanks. :>

Jumping in on peashooters from an interest in the type of baffle louvers shapes they have. Deeper is always nicer. Any chance to photo down inside to see? The originals had rectangular louvers not curved or triangle and said to give a tweetering sound on let off that was desirable to hear but reproductions mufflers since did not produce.

You can have the oily old scratched up pair I wrecked on last fall.

I bet they're about as nifty as the welded up POS pipes that I got with the bike when I brought it home from Chicago!!!
