After many years its time to restore my old 74 850, gave the the guy making my new peashooters the old ones to copy but he said the old ones have an inch & 3/8 ID inlet & a 1'" 1/8 outlet & is sure that the inlet & outlet diameters are the same otherwise it might get somewhat constipated, anyway I bought this bike 30 years ago & allways thought the mufflers were original ..can someone tell me what sizes the peashooter inlet & outlet should be on a 74 850 with a balance pipe thanks Bill

Removable noise reduction "Mutes" (fixed by a self-tapping screw) were optional fitment on early 850 peashooters, and the reduced diameter noise reduction outlet became an integral part of the later 850 Mk2 peashooters.

I think most (if not all) peashooters manufactured these days are made with the "old" 1-3/8" dia. outlets?

I am just wondering why you are going to the trouble and expense of getting custom made copies when there are perfectly acceptable peashooters available from many sources at reasonable prices?
