UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

Wow. 1295 line items. That's amazing. I'm going to create a spreadsheet and do a cross-refere4nce, because I'm sure there are duplicate bits under different part numbers.

Thanx a ton, dude.

The link to that information has been in the "Technical info section..." sticky topic for at least two years!

Link deleted. The stainlessbits.com webpage has closed.

That's a good link, Hobot, but I believe that the only rusty Norton is an unridden Norton. A running Norton creates this hidden mist on the surfaces of ferrous metals. A down unit is void of this benefit and is soon to corrode. This can be no more evident then on coastal highways.
Other than the fenders and Chainguards there is little need for stainless on the Norton Commando. IMHO Stainless only serves to disrupt the delecate balance of torque and stresses engineered into this rolling work of artistic performance.

My 2 cent and a nickles worth equals 1/2 shilling (approx).

that's what I get for not researching!

Maybe it's because I own and moderate 7 forums, co-moderate 3 others, and am active on at least 3 others (all on Delphi), BESIDES which I moderate "Classics/Vintage" sections on TriumphRat.Net & TriumphTalk.Com, and have at least a half dozen other forums I'm active on (such as this one), I guess I simply overlooked the significance of that very interesting bit of info!

...oh, and I have a job that I occasionally spend some time with...

That L.A.B is fair but firm with the paddle when we’re naughty.

It’s a shame the Stainlessbits place is out of business. It’s a reminder that we each should do our part to support THIS forum.

If Mr. Doe ever pulls the plug, I’m buying a BMW.
