I AM IN NEED OF METAL CENTER SECTION WITH SNAP RINGS/CIRCLIPS FOR THE FRONT MOUNT. MINE IS SEVERELY RUSTED. PLEASE LET ME KNOW COST. IN THE MIDDLE OF REBUILD AND HAVING A GREAT TIME!

Not sure what you're talking about Sharon but I recently swapped out my OEM front iso for a vernier adjustable one and still have the old one if it'd do you any good....
 
Ah, just looked at a parts diagram - you mean the central tube, that the rubbers ride on, with some circlips to hold them in place? Haven't pounded mine out of my original motor mount (I bought a new one rather than wait to have the old one machined to work with the verniers), but I have to believe I have one of those in there....
 
Sharon- I have enjoyed your posts about the restoration you are doing with your husband. Sounds like you guys have things well in hand. A small bit of advice would be, and forgive me if it has been done already, would be to get a parts manual for your particular bike. One of the many great things about that is being able to order parts and describe parts by number. If you notice, most guys and gals on this site speak it like code. The other great thing is being able to have reference as to how these bits of metal all fit together. If it is the front mount you are talking about, most would agree to purchase a new MK3 style mount with the vernier adjusters--since yours is rusted away as you said. It makes adjusting engine mounts much easier and less confusing. Check oldbritts.com, rabers parts mart, and fair spares america. All top notch parts houses who are happy to assist and lend their years expertise.

Well, it is so easy to pop the front mount off and set it up in a vice, I wouldn't spend a lot of money on a vernier for the front. I like to take this apart and clean and regrease everything when I shim it. And I can shim it equally from both sides. If I put a vernier on the front I get lazy and don't clean and service the mount as often.

Now the rear is a different story. I'll put the vernier adjusters there whenever I have the cradle out.
 
THANK YOU FOR INFO ALL....HUBBY LIVES WITH HIS MANUAL AND HE PROBABLY EXPLAINED PART HE NEEDED BETTER....I JUST CONDENSED WHAT HE SAID. BUT I BELIEVE THE PART HE IS LOOKING FOR IS THE ONE MENTIONED BY BRIAN. I BELIEVE HE IS TRYING TO RESTORE AS ORIGINAL AS POSSIBLE SO IS LOOKING TO REPLACE WITH WHAT HE IS TAKING OFF.

AS FOR" US " RESTORING....HE STAYS IN GARAGE AND OUT OF MY WAY AND I LOOK FOR PARTS AND FEED HIM....LOL

Good luck with your rebuild. A ggod reference for parts descriptions is the Andover site. They have drawings that show parts and more importantly, part numbers that everyone can understand. Check out clubman racing.com for pretty good prices and lots of parts.

Brian....sorry so late getting back to you was in Florida for a week.

We do still need the part....no luck in locating one yet.

Sharon, I'd join the bandwagon urging you to buy "new" parts if you can, but if you want any of my old ones, they're yours for the cost of postage.

I have the complete front ISO unit from my 73 850 - bike only had ~6K miles on it if you believe the speedo; still, these parts will never pass for new.

Again, if you want 'em (or any of them - the motor mount in particular is heavy, so if you don't need it, I would suggest not paying for the shipping), they're yours.
 
the part that hubby needs is #063960 engine mounting spacer tube with circlips.

only one we located was from the site mentioned above...was hoping to find one in the states if possible.

Brian, if we are talking about same part would happily send shipping costs.

hubby just would like to replace the rusted one.

was hoping clubman had one but not on the list.

I just gotta figure out how to get it out of the motor mount - tried to drift it out danged rubber bumpers are absorbing the impacts. I just put a little penetrating oil on it to soak, hopefully will be able to get it out tomorrow.
 
Okay, it's out. I was thinking it was one long tube with four rubbers attached, as the vernier ones, but 'tain't. Anyway, I have it in my hand tube, two inner rubbers, circlips. Do you want the outer rubbers too?

The whole thing is small and light. I wouldn't even worry about the postage - my treat. BrianK

BrianK.....received your package yesterday while hubby working a double so was a surprise for him today before heading back to work again...he was absolutely thrilled...yours were in so much better shape than what he took off.
