I guess thats why you see these sellers with big Negative Feedback, Ebay seem to go along with these sellers of junk, why wouldnt they. Ebay raves on about buyer protection but as you have pointed out, the buyer is screwed with the angle you mentioned.
I've had a pretty good run on eBay over the last 10 years but eBay logic is debatable and wonder what qualification some of the staff have mechanically.
Last year I spot a 650 Triumph 9 stud head (Sydney).
The pictures showed what looked to be a reasonable casting but were a little small and the front was obscured for the most part but showed one spigot missing,no big deal.
The seller stated the head could not be viewed and no questions would be answered, based on that it was taken for granted it was OK.
What turns up after winning the auction, the casting was not bad but it had multiple cracks in the combustion chambers, the missing spigot thread was destroyed, the other was mangled with a hammer perhaps.
I contacted the seller and offered to post it back as my expense, the seller declined.
The outcome of the eBay resolution even with multiple clear photo's supplied. ?
The seller did no wrong as I had received an item as per the description that being a 9 stud Triumph cylinder head and it was deemed buyers remorse, case closed.
It became a door stop until the $1000 to repair it is viable.
