Hi

Listing is correct I had a brand new Mk11A (which is what it is) in 1975 registered and built in '75, the MK111s came out in 1976 and were left shifter and electric start. It looks like a very good buy to me.

850 MkIII production certainly started early (Jan.?) 1975, and they are condsidered to be the '1975' year model, although no doubt, some MkIIAs were still being built at the time.

When I worked for Autin Rover I worked in the production control dept, the model years changes were our responsibility. The planning for a model change started within a month or 2 of last model year change and culminated in a weekend changeover of the stock held on the production line (3rd week in Sept normally), if there was a body change included the change was staggered and both new and old parts were on line until the last old body cleared the line (a painted body could fail inspection mulitple times, each failure caused a rub down and respray taking days). The catalogue pics were done prior to the cut and paste of today so they were done on mockups moths before some parts were available. The false new parts could be made of clay or plaster of paris and sprayed, anything that worked. If the plan for the parts changed then the photos would have to be retaken, sometimes it was too late  .
