WW forgotten so soon.

Back in 1976 I looked at getting a new Bultaco 125 Pursang ($995)
Ginger Molloy had a shop in Huntly (His home town) and was the agent but I ended up getting a new 1976 RM125S (the factory 'hopped up model) for $1337 ($1448.67 after HP) from Coleman's Suzuki.

Fast forward to the 1990's and I am at a yearly two hour hare scramble on my 1986 Husqvarna 400WR (which I still have)
There is some red headed bloke there and am told it is Ginger Molloy, for an old guy he looked pretty fit (but he was old ?) and was riding a Honda CR 250 (iirc)
The flag dropped and I never saw him again until the after race BBQ.
You have to watch those old guys.

Ginger is a good bloke. Used to line up with the rest of us at scrutineering at the NZ Classic club meetings. Didn't expect or ask for any special priority.

When Cameron Donald first raced, it was on the IOM. Short circuit racing is entirely different from riding fast on public roads

Cameron Donlad had been racing a long time before he went to IOM. You CANNOT just go and ride at the TT without the relevant experience and signaturtes

How can anyone remember every corner on the IOM
People had been known to WALK the Circuit , in the old days . At leaqst it'd fitten them up .

The Modern ' Video Lap ' wouldnt loosen up the mussels , might loosen the bowels though .

Thinking on the " 7500 " which isnt uncommon on a Commando , or was . Racing . The old 89 / 82
gives 8140 rpm on a 650 Triumph , at the same piston speed ! ( or 8344 on a P.U. 500 ! )
We mightve already said , P U 500 @ 8000 = to 7190 rpm on a 750 long stroke Norton ,
if we're going by piston speed .

No Semi's , sheep or shopping baskets , on a closed race track . Wernt to many walls back in 1980 .
So you can go hard out , without having to look out for hidden speed traps & micelaeneous obsticals & mobile chicanes .
Rather wary of getting caught up in someone elses tangle . So you dive through inside there ' sliding off ' trajectory ,
at the apex , at least .

Most riders that are happy with a bit of sliding around , have had plenty of time on the ' unsealed ' roads .

This has to be the biggest Brain Fade . ( Had thought it was Guy Martin once - His looking over the shoulder stuffed the aero / balance , at his Ulster Oh Dear )

Of course , if I could get a decent Royal Enfield 350 , we could knock a few minutes of this time .

Think theyre a bit hypo to enjoy it . unless the enjoy the hypo fix . The pace seems a bit sureal , without a lot of reserve .
Whereas when they wernt treating it as a sprint , , cutting a '; exact ' lap would have been reward enough .

Bit like the 200 mph cars . Id be out of sorts , because I doubt if itd be ' exact ' in placing anywhere . or at least , on the road
youd be going 1/4 speed so it'd all be irelevant . Perhaps ? .

3rd or 4th generation descendant . ? Still seem to be ' fast forward ' , compared to say 1000 on a manx or Bonneville etc .

When Ginger Molloy was racing in Europe, he was racing Bert Floods 360 Bultaco. When it was raced in Australia, it was usually run on methanol. I wonder if Ginger was using that in Europe in GP races ? There is a Youtibe video of him at the start of a race in Eireland, where he was with the big boys.
