Dominator SS on track - madness?

Like many of us here I've had my ups and downs with reliability and Nortons lousy excuse for customer service. However... as an unofficial test pilot, I've gradually got the bike to a point bordering on reliable. Other than the oil in the airbox issue the primary problems (for me at least) have centered around the electrics and more specifically the fuse box.

Anyhow I digress. Although the reason for that little rant will become clear shortly. Over the years I've had the good fortune and passion to have driven most of the worlds best circuits, from the Nurburgring to Laguna Seca and my all time favorite Spa Francorchamps. But I've never done a track day on a bike

So why not pop my track day cherry on an incredibly expensive, rare and somewhat temperamental Dominator SS, after all what could possibly go wrong. :D

That's not madness, it's what they're for innit?

Great video and the bike sounds fantastic.

Good on yer !

Nice ! Bike looks good and stable . How did it feel out there ?

Looks like you had a great time.
I would love to see and hear that very cool Britten V1000 on the track too.

Cheers.

Just put it up on the big screen.
Top video.
Liked the camera position , kept looking at the unique Norton parts :)

Looked like fun.

Little glimpse here.

Nearly got a nice clip of it being warmed up in the pit lane, but I was a few seconds late after dashing back to grab my phone.

Really good, would shake its head occasionally going over a bump on the front straight at close to terminal velocity but instantly sorted itself out. The bike had a lot more to give, but this was not the day or bike to explore the limits. I wouldn't have forgiven myself if I'd dropped it!

The lap on the vid was one of the first of the day - used it because there was another bike in the frame.
