Oil Change on 2013 Commando FS

I am about to undertake my first oil change on my 2013 Norton FS. All previous changes were done by the dealer.

I have the oil and Bosch filters on hand, but I would like to know where I can access some copper washers for the banjo bolts and some o-rings for the oil filter and the drain plug.

I know the copper washers can be reused if torched and quenched but I would prefer to use new ones if I new the specs.

Try a local hydraulic supermarket or hydraulic hose company like Pirtek .
Take one with you and buy a few as they will only cost pennies.

Never trust any copper washer or gasket to be fully annealed so likewise I heat to cherry red too.

The copper washers are available all over the internet. M14 Copper washer Norton OEM size :
ID 14.1mm
OD 19.5mm
thickness 2mm
I have reused mine at least 5 times - no problems . Buy a bag of 100 qty never bother with it again.

Do you anneal them to ensure they are soft enough?

Yes, I do it just to make sure they have been done... Only takes but a few seconds to heat them, cooling depends upon if I'm in a hurry or not
