I just changed all my fluids in my MKII and realized after I started that I didn't have new/proper washers to fit back on. Actually, a lot of the drain bolts/inspection bolts were missing washers all together. I tried to do my research on it, but here's what I've found so far. Please let me know if this looks OK and if any of you have good alternative/easy to find recommendations for any of these parts:

• Gearbox drain bolt washer - Part # 000200 - 3/8" (copper crush washer?)
• Gearbox oil level washer - Part # 000203 - 1/4" fiber washer
• Sump drain plug washer - Part # 062624 - 3/8" x 5/8" x .060 copper washer
• Chaincase oil level O-ring - Part # 062583 - ?
• Oil tank drain bolt washer - Part # 062624 - Guess it's the same as sump drain plug washer?

Am I missing anything else that might need to be replaced with an oil change? I'm hoping all this would be easily attainable at a local auto parts store...

In my workshop I have complete kits of things that get used all the time my list of different kits are

Full kit of copper washer (imperial and metric)
Full kit of O rings
2 Full kits of circlips (inner and outer)
Full kit of split pins
2 Full kits of electrical connectors (my most used one)
Full kit of crush washers
Full kits of Spring and flat washer (imperial and metric)
So many boxes and trays of nuts and bolts of different threads

But I was lucky as I worked at a Tec College for 31 years (T/A to the maintenance fitter for over 15 years) and had the chance to build up my collection of bits and pieces for my workshop, it's so handy having all you need without going out chasing them when you need it, but my mates also know what I have.

For a bike that rarely fails, you sure got your share of spares.

It's alway good practise to have a good stock of things even if you don't used them that much, I was lucky to be in a position to build up my stock of things that didn't cost me a cent, I also have a kit of key ways which has helped me on a few rebuilds, I also built up stuff like machine shop tools knowing one day I will have a use for them and now I have a lathe and milling machine I have saved a lot of money because I planned a head, machine tools are so expensive and the ones I got are the best that money can buy.

I own more than one bike as well as cars and one of the reasons that my Norton is oil tight is I replace small things like copper washer etc every time things are removed, I also have a few rolls of diffrent thickness of gasket paper and tools to make my own gaskets when needed, if one fails I am prepared for it, I think it's wise to be ready for anything that could happen.
