THIS LOOKS LIKE A TYPICAL CASE OF "MANAGED DECLINE"
RECENT NEWS REPORT VIDEO 👇

Blackrock and Vanguard own about 12% of Norfolk Southern so we don't need to wonder why the media has been ignoring the train catastrophe ...but thanks to citizen journalism and a up coming visit by a very well known man (45) they are now forced to report on it...
With respect, the Ohio train disaster is all over the main stream media and appears to have been since it occured. Choose a publication/outlet and research its coverage of the event and the aftermath - put the dates immediately after the incident into the search. It may take some time - there is plenty out there.

I think anybody with a social conscience would have concern for what is happening in Ohio and an interest in the reporting/commentary of such a significant event being as accurate and complete as possible.

DAILY MAIL U.K
Norfolk Southern CEO to finally admit HE GAVE THE ORDER FOR THE CONTROLLED BURN…he does NOT have this authority..
This is criminal…whats next 🤔

Great read. Thank you.

An interesting read indeed - there has been much written about BlackRock (and others) and no doubt they have both great power and considerable influence. However, as an asset management company they don’t own the shares in those many (many) companies, the shareholders do - an important distinction I guess. Still, that so much wealth and potential influence can be so concentrated is enough to make anyone nervous. Although we’re pretty used to media monopolies over in Aus it has to be said.

Where it gets difficult for me however, is the default assumption (in certain quarters) of nefarious or evil intent on behalf of these companies* - beyond rampant, unchecked greed that is. It is so very easy to use this assumption to create/modify any story for an eager, expectant audience. Generating as many headlines/likes/links/ratings/traffic/subscriptions as the authors may like. Follow the money indeed, but don’t do so whilst wearing a pair of blinkers. It may pay to use critical thinking to look both up and down stream!

* Delete companies - insert gov/institution/organisation.

IMHO, in general things like this come down to either incompetence, or conspiracy.

Sometimes, the level of incompetence necessary is so high, conspiracy seems more likely.

But it’s no guarantee. The level of incompetence that I see in my professional world alone is actually quite staggering.

On a road trip across the US when I first encountered the UNBELIEVABLY long goods trains y’all have over there, I couldn’t help but think to myself ‘wow, there’s some serious momentum there, if anything did go wrong, it would go wrong big’…

I see high level incompetence on a daily basis at work in heavy steelwork
From architects to draftsman to the checker
Then it stops with the blokes on the shop floor that have to actually make what has been drawn!

I worked in this factory in Pittsburgh, got a chance to learn about the systems.

The Hill was late to the reporting party (as were so many others) for the usual PC/agenda influenced reasons.
MSM producers and editors did not consider the derailment to merit any significant, if any at all, on-air broadcast or headline attention.

The initial derailment was treated as another ho-hum train pile-up. Still, a few information sources understood the ugly ecological potential in play and started looking deeper at state and federal reaction while reading between the company lines, even when it was not considered a big time evening news piece.

Then the "experts" lit it off.
A much more economically feasible cleanup cost.
Only after a big nasty toxic cloud of black smoke, dead fish everywhere and kids with big headaches did MSM gave it a 2nd look.

Ask where were those in control of sharing this news, or where was the federal oversight before the burn was started...don't forget to follow the money, and the politics.

Watched the news at noon (Boston) first mention I've seen of it since it happened. The gist of the story was how much and how well the government is taking care of things. A brief mention also of NS donating relief money.

From what I've heard NS is offering $1k for each effected resident so long as they sign a type of liability waiver agreement..
