I know my production values aren't as good as Doug MacRae's (yet), but here's a link to an onboard vid from from the AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days Grand National Championship GP750 race at Mid Ohio a couple of weeks ago.

For 2 years I've been trying to get my fancy ContourHD camera to work. It is such a tidy little unit, and fit anywhere, but it simply couldn't handle the vibrations of the bike. It would either rattle the battery or the SD card loose intermittently and cause it to shut down EVERY time. I must've gone through 4 different units - same issue. So I sold it and went to a GoPro HD and so far it has worked every time. It's bulkier, but hey... it works. Now I need to try some other mounting places to see if I can get past some of those vibrations. And see if I can do better with the wind noise.

Maybe you should get a Commando, I hear they don't vibrate as much.

hehe Swooheroo, that's what I was thinking too but too polite to blurt it out. If it ain't isolastic then it ain't no Commando even if Commando like powered. I do enjoy seeing how far they tip the horizon, but for life of me can't understand waiting till after apex to nail it, unless on untamed isolastic's or a too rigid chassis. On my untammed Trixie I'm waiting to solve the return to idle issue before I even risk my mostly groomed and stone cleared driveway and no way would I attempt holding power laid into the sweepers like Kenny and Doug and so many do routinely.

Some camera's have external mic adapter to wrap in wind foam and isolated chassis mount. Best camera mount for sense of what pilot and bike are doing is like Keith Code does it - on a tall grid tower that sticks up and to side of pilot. But it'd take out racers I'd think. A low down mount to see front tire would also be a cool view point.

Very Good . If there were nothing ( much ) other than raceing motorcycles on the television and at the thearter,
 :lol The World would be a Safer and Saner place . For me , anyway . :P Roll it on .

Thanks Kenny, Any video is good video and it's damn nice of you to let us be a part of what you do.

We know your units, other than the heritage, are not pure Commandos, (countless were mismatched right out of the factory especially during model year change over, particularly 71 to 72) but anyone other than those with matching numbered perfections versus bastardized bananas might have a little more respect for what you do and for what you offer us.
You freaking movie star you. :P

Mr. KC, for me, that is the cool of cool... I can almost feel the Gs. Do you wear earplugs when you race that thing? Ever think of making it street legal? (HA!) Ya do a lot for the Norton name.... many thanks for that! cheers, Don

At Barber's Kenny explained a bit of delay in one tight sweeper he hi centered on peg or something to lift tires off so he just pressed knee slider down to lift bike back into grip and carry on...
