I took apart my clutch for the first time ever last night. I havent used my bike tons in the last dozen years, and it has been just slightly heavy. No big deal tho, until recently where it has been heavier, sticky and tough to get in gear at times, no matter how I adjusted.
I am wondering about this stack that is in it, as it doesn't look at all like what I assumed I would see based on the book. Outside in from the right, and there are only three bronze plates and two Barnett plates. I have the other two bronze plates and three Barnetts in the spares box.
What do you guys think?
And how can I tell if the bronze plates are worn? The bronze ones are quire burnished in places, but the height of the inner ridge looks good compared to the spares.
And in all of this, they have chewed notches my clutch center. :-(
